of elation and jubilation. [19 Nov 2009|01:47am]
Hi everyone, today Perry Killed A Cockroach. A Big Flying Cockroach.

Here's how the story goes.

I got home at like 1am, and I was just sitting in front of the computer, chatting. And suddenly I noticed a black thingy going under my chair. I instantly jumped up and muttered WTF to myself. Then I saw it's antennae/feelers/whatever, and it slowly crept out. So, I went to take my mom's slipper, which btw is the COCKROACH's BANE. No cockroach has escaped the wrath of my mom's slipper, ever. And, I wasn't about to make this an exception. So, I quickly cornered it into the spare bedroom, and BAMMMMMMMMMM, I KILLED IT. YESSSSSSSSSSS! But I guess my skill isn't there yet, the fucking cockroach bled on my floor, and I had to clean it up. WTF. My mom always kills it without letting it bleed. I guess I still have a long way to go.

Omg, I don't even know why I feel so good when I killed it, but I just feel so happy.

[18 Oct 2009|07:37pm]
It's sunday again, which means I'll be booking in in a while. The only difference is that, this, being one of the last book in's of the year, doesn't feel as bad as usual.

I spent most of my week playing tennis. I also spent a day at sentosa for our last army cohesion while still in the army. It's probably my last visit to sentosa in the next few years since I'm not exactly a big fan of the beach at sentosa. The cohesion itself wasn't that bad, I'm sure most of us enjoyed ourselves. The only problem was that the sun was just way too hot for any of us to handle. Everyone was getting baked. Even the blackn.iggers.

Headed down to Wala's after our cohesion with some army mates and also some school friends. It was my first time there and I thought the place was quite fun. We definitely had a lot of fun. The band played some of our favourite songs which was way awesome. Oh, and, for the first time in my life, a stranger bought my friend and I a round of drinks. (Y).

drivinggg [13 Oct 2009|07:44pm]
It was 2am on monday morning. I was reading some stuff online and a hoe wah toon came online and said HEY I"M GOING TO THE HOSPITAL NOW I GOT !@#$ING RASHES EVERYWHERE. WANNA COME? So I said yeah sure, and so he drove, picked me up and we were on our way to the hospital. His itch was so bad half the time his hands weren't on the steering wheel. He was like "eh perry if i scratch with both hands, you must help me hold the steering wheel k", so I said okay. It turned out to be the most dangerous ride I've ever had, ever.

So, we were just like at the main junction right before we turned into NUH, and he turned right, when he wasn't supposed to. There was an oncoming car coming from the other direction. We barely squeezed past it. Right before NUH. He was like "OMG I"M SO SORRY I NEARLY GOT YOU KILLED". Strangely enough though, the other car didn't honk at us. I guess the only "good" thing about that was that our location was near enough to the hospital and we'd probably get help real quick.

After that, he was put on the drip and warded! FOR RASHES?!?! So I went to meet dinesh for supper at around 3am at newton. And after a delectable stingray, we WALKED TO NUH, from newton. We bought him some breakfast from Macs 'cos we knew hospital food had to be crap. He was still warded by the time we walked there. So, we tried to visit him in the extended diagnostic treatment (EDTU) unit. Funny thing is, the nurse told us that only 1 visitor was allowed at any one time, BUT, both dinesh and I were given visitor passes. The nurse then proceeded to tell us that visiting hours are from 12-2pm and 5-8pm, BUT she gave us directions to go into the EDTU. We were stunned and we just laughed it off after that.

So that is the story of the week. And the morale of the story? Don't drive if you have rashes! Another thing is, it helps to have friends who can drive, 'cos if you get rashes and can't drive to the hospital, at least they can take over. Oh, and the milo they give for breakfast at NUH, is really bland.

maf [20 Sep 2009|07:13pm]
Yesterday was maf at school, which to me was also known as sports day.

Woke up pretty early for my standards, went to school and signed up for the badminton competition on the sport. It has been a long while since I played such intensive badminton matches, almost 2 years i suppose. Ended up getting 2nd and getting muscle aches everywhere. Crap, it's difficult to even walk properly now lol. After that played some table tennis in school with the rest of the guys as well.

When we all came back at night for the event to start, we gathered at our class bench and started doing what we do best - stoning/niaoing. Which was just as fun as it used to be. We ended up going to the reading room to look for some of our tutors. Not surprisingly, they could still remember all of us by name, and I don't suppose they remembered us for a good reason either. We also spent our time at the reading room observing all the dances and songs and of course people.

It's strange how you don't talk to people during school days, but can end up talking to them after everyone has graduated. It's like there's finally something in common - graduating from the same place.

After the event, we went over to macs at beauty world for supper. And, after everyone left for home to "get real", tze siong, yijia and I decided to play some more table tennis at tze siong's place. So, we walked to yijia's house to get like nets and bats and continued walking to tze siong's place. Ended up playing 3 hours of table tennis on a table that was situated on a grass slope with "all natural" wooden table tennis bats which gave fantastic sound effects.

And after finding my way home at 4.30am, it was finally time for some deserved sleeeeeep.

So Long, Farewell [23 Aug 2009|10:08am]
auf Wiedersehen, goodbye.

Last night we threw a 'surprise' farewell party for Kelvin at One Degree 15 Marina Club. It was a simple enough party, with lots of great people, nice music and good food.

It was my first time at Sentosa Cove, and I thought the place there was just awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed our strolls beside all the yachts. We were just walking around, looking at all the different types of yachts, and telling one another which one was our favourite. We were like "i'm so going to buy that soon" haha. But I guess, it's never soon enough.

The only thing that I rue was that I left with Wah Toon, and hence missing out on Benedict and Ming Zhi serenading Kelvin. Omg, I totally missed the highlight of the night. Crap.

It will be so weird without Kelvin around. This whole year, we have been hanging out so much and so often that it'd be strange without him. Dining sessions wouldn't be complete without him. Long, deep conversations would be so lacking without his interesting and often unique perspectives.

But then again, separation is inevitable. This time next year, there will be a lot more farewell parties. Everyone will be going everywhere, but we will all come back, won't we?

ibuprofen? [12 Aug 2009|09:42pm]
So, after resting at home for 1 day, I went back into camp and had a 12km run which was very very bad. I couldn't even run properly. I had a stupid headache and also ridiculous neck ache. I was so slow I was getting pissed off at my pathetic pace that I started walking. Even walking didn't seen that much slower.

So after my miserable run, our entire unit went out for some sort of cohesion, to watch GIJOE. We had lunch at crystal jade before that which was decent. My appetite was kinda bad already and I wasn't feeling very well. After entering the theatre, I almost immediately fell asleep before the show even started, and woke up when the show ended. And that marked the first time that I actually slept in a movie. I woke up still feeling like crap.

Hence I decided to go home and sleep on my own bed, to see if I would feel better. I was so wrong, I woke up with a freaking fever. My first reaction was fuck! I need to run AHM competitive on sunday. I need to recover! So I went to visit the doctor to get some medication and also a MC. For some strange reason, there were a LOT of people at the clinic, and all of them looked like they were visiting a clinic for the first time in their lives. They just couldn't seem to sit still and wait for the receptionist/cashier to call their name so that they can go in. They had to keep pacing around and loiter in front of the counter and ask how long more till their turn comes.

As the nurse was explaining to me the various type of medications that  I had to consume, I noticed that I was issued ibuprofen instead of the usual paracetamol, which I thought was weird because I have never received any other type of fever medicine besides paracetamol haha. So, my question is, does anyone know why ibuprofen this time???

awesome [11 Aug 2009|01:21am]
[ music | Kristin Chenoweth - Taylor The Latte Boy ]

Today I went for my first cable-skiing adventure at batam and I thought it was just awesome.

Although, I had to wake up like super early, for my standards and that it was drizzling initially, it all worked out very well towards the end. We started off with this knee boarding thing, which was supposedly for beginners. We also tried doing a 2-person knee boarding, which was a lot more physically demanding and harder to master as well. So after getting the hang of it, we advanced to the wake boarding section. Which, I fell did not require knee boarding to master. After falling like 82348923892 times and laughing at one another 238942348 times, our internal competition finally paid off. Tze Siong, Ming Zhi and I were among the few who managed to get it, and actually complete 1 round of the circuit, which I believe was due to our constant dissing of one another. Our determination to beat one another paid off, and we finally got the hang of it. Haha, I guess, kaobei-ing one another does work wonders lol. Our internal competition was quite intense, lunch was eaten in like 5 minutes, and the only rest times that we took, were the times where we were queueing up to go again. We really wanted to own each other that badly. I guess the endless pursuit of excellence, and the challenge of owning the people that you know want to beat you, works wonders.

At the end of it, I felt really tired, my legs were wobbly, my calluses were burning in my palms, my arms and even my ass(wtf?) were aching. I felt as if I had gone on a 20km run, with aching arms and calluses from maybe gymming? It was so physically intense that all of us, even the fitter ones felt very drained. I also felt slightly high, probably due to the sense of achievement, and also the great company.

I also predict that cable-skiing/wake boarding is going to burn a hole in my wallet soon. Shit.

what's going on??? [03 Aug 2009|09:55am]
Today's a really weird day.

I woke up at 8.30am, which was the first time I'd woken up anytime before 9am on a day that I'm actually not in camp. So, after surprising myself totally by waking up that early, I decided to go for breakfast at macs, as it's been a long time since I've done that. And, I had a craving for them. Well, so I bought food and sat down. And, I don't know what came over me, but I decided to count the number of people who pushed open doors instead of pulling them, when it clearly states 'PULL' and vice versa.

11 females walked through the door, and among them, 1 pulled the door when it's supposed to be pushed and 6 pushed the door when it's meant to be pulled.

And, there were 6 guys who walked through the door, 2 of them pushed the door when they were supposed to pull it.

All these happened within 30 minutes, and it'd be understandable if the people were carrying loads of stuff and had no hands to pull the door, but, they weren't even carrying anything at all! How strange! What's up with all these people?

On a side note, I really feel that mopping the floor is the most tiring activity ever.

yayday! [09 Feb 2008|03:57pm]
Today was saturday and we went to play basketball at school! The gates were locked so everybody had to climb in. The gate to the basketball court was also locked so we had to climb in too And while we were playing, the security guard came to chase us out cos' we were not supposed to be in the college section as it was supposed to be locked. But anyway we daoed him and continued playing. He proceeded to take the keys to unlock the gate at the basketball court. But for some reason or another, he couldn't manage to open the gate so we just continued playing and he didn't pester us anymore haha. Basketball was damn fun as usual. Me wanpeng minkai yanlong nigel leonard tze siong zihao pee anna and rachel turned up. It was quite a gathering, it felt almost like one of those countless friday afternoons where we would play all the way till night. Somehow after playing basketball, I felt like i was really back to civilian life. This chinese new year break seemed to be too long, i'm like totally accustomed to sitting at home and stoning in front of the computer, just like i always do. Anyway, after basketball nigel minkai wanpeng yanlong pee anna and i proceeded to jack's place to eat t-bones yayyyyyy. What a wonderful day. The only bad thing is that i have to book in at 1915. And field camp is tomorrow woohoo.

life in ns [03 Feb 2008|01:35pm]

is damn boring, but at least there are fun people like zhaoying to keep me sane. Also, i got to truly understand the meaning of living for the weekends, although my weekend is like only 24 hours from the time i set foot on civilisation. Meeting up with my friends every week is like the major highlight of my life nowadays. Yesterday me and wanpeng feasted on a family feast at kfc and talked for like 2 hours while waiting for cheeaun and minkai to finish their movie. And after their movie, they went to buy the same family feast lol. Those were the good old days where we just kept eating and eating lol. Too bad we don't have time to play basketball. That'd have been great anyway, but i guess we can only make do with what we have, which is booking out once a week to feast and spend our sweaty and muddy money lol.

last days of '07 [01 Jan 2008|08:57pm]

On the last friday of 2007, we went to play basketball in school, just like how we spent most of our fridays in 2007. It felt fitting, the way we spent our last friday of the year haha. And after playing non-stop for like 5 hours, we would go out for dinner and stone and talk and while the night away. It may seem like just another sport to others, basketball was like part of our school curriculum lol. We would rush to the courts during breaks, after school to play. We would get chased out by the security guard for staying too late, but we hid ourselves and stayed there. We would get chased away by PE teachers cos' we were playing topless during breaks cos' we don't wanna dirty our lovely and smart school shirt. Sometimes we even discuss tactics and ask the basketballers to teach us stuff lol. What a bunch of basketball nerds.

And on saturday, we had our most successful p6 gathering by far lol. 22 people turned up and i could recognise everybody except for weitian. We went to mindcafe to play some board games, and i realised that i can't recognise any of the games there lol. At least the brownie was good, although it was too small haha. Then we played pool, a game which i haven't played in like 1-2 years but it was still fun, yes. Then we went to play photohunt + dinner haha. We were damn lousy but that was to be expected anyway. And there was a great deal of talking which was quite good i think. I talked to marvin for like 1hour on the bus, something which i haven't done before lol. It was fun anyways, too bad mark and leonard and many others missed it. And i'm also pleased to announce that i've attended every single p6 gathering in existence so far. Wow.

And on new year's eve we went to minkai the white bitch's house to stone/play/drink. It wasn't exactly a party or anything, but i guess we all had fun. Although the white bitch asked us to leave early in the morning because he had other plans later. What an ass haha.

[18 Dec 2007|05:01pm]
Well well, it's been so long since i last blogged.

Let's see, prom was just well, prom. It felt like an event for girls to flaunt their tan lines, and everybody to take pictures only. Oh btw the food sucked. Especially the braised mushroom or whatever that thing was. The post-prom was kinda fun, we walked from shangrila to clarke quay and by the time we got there there was only 45 minutes left till the place closes so we opted not to go in. We stayed outside and waited for people to get drunk or get into fights or something haha. But the thing is we got a better deal than those who paid money and went in anyway. Because we got to see the people who got drunk, in particular melvin who got dragged out by the bouncer LOL. Those poor souls who were inside just don't know what they missed out. After that we went to stone at mcdonalds till the first bus/train started. Then i reached home, napped a while and left for the airport to hongkong lol.

Hongkong was well, as usual the place to eat lol. I gained 2kg in the first 2 days and 6 in total rofl. And that is despite walking for like don't know how many hours everyday at a super fast pace. But then again, that isn't surprising, considering that we eat 5 meals a day. The older generation keep telling me to eat more cos' i'm young and those that are around my parents' age keep telling me to eat more cos' need to go army liao, no more good food lol. And we bought lots of chocolate wtf, the chocolate seems to be much cheaper there. We got movenpick, some belgian truffles and godiva LOL. And lots of other goodies yays.

SAT [02 Dec 2007|11:07am]
Yesterday was SAT and boy was it an eye opener. Me and yijia reached at like 7.30 and wtf there were 500 people crowding around one miserable notice board trying to look for their index number wtf. And there was ONLY one notice board. And well, honestly if it wasn't at ACJC (a school), i would have thought i'm at some chinese secret society gathering. More than half were from china i think lol. And there were people who look like they were in the mid 20s. Some with rockstar hairstyles. Some with more than 50% red hair. Most importantly, some looked like they were there for a picnic and that it was family day (lots of parents). We spent like 30 minutes stoning there and observing people lol.

The admission ticket lied. They said we had to reach by 7.45 but the registration only ended at 8.30 due to the sheer number of people and the fact that there were only 4 queues for registration. Hmm the paper was quite fun but i think i won't do well lol. I left out like 4 questions blank because i thought the last section only had 10 questions LOL. And for the essay, i was writing about the lightbulb LOL AND I FORGOT WHO INVENTED THE LIGHTBULB ROFL. What a noob. Oh and there were like two 5 minute toilet breaks and like half the people in the hall went out. I wonder how big the toilets at acjc are. Some people had to go to the toilet twice, well got so much time to drink water meh i guess i'm really noob. And there were people who came back from the toilet late (duh) then try to run back to their seat, then run into the wrong column, then run back to the correct column then trip and fall. Wth.

And the invigilators are slacky. They told us to clear the memory in the calculators but they didn't check anyway. And i suppose it's real easy to cheat just that whether you can be bothered to do so.

After the test me and yijia went to holland village to eat and then WE WALKED TO KAP LOL. We were that bored, yes. I think if i'm bored in NS, i'll go out on saturday mornings on SAT test dates and watch people lol.

yesterday was thursday [23 Nov 2007|08:34pm]

I went to the podiatrist to make a new set of insoles before going for a KOBE BEEF BUFFET AT HILTON WHICH WAS WTF WOOHOO YUMMY. The beef was just delicious lol. Too bad only the dinner has a free flow of wine. And after that i went to toys'r'us to look at toys with my parents lol. Saw a few people around town and went to play LAN with the rest after a while. We started playing photohunt at level 9 of cineleisure. We got till like 380+ thousand twice on this machine but that machine's top 10 scores was 395. Then we switched to playing the other machine and the 10th score was only 370K!!! So we managed to got onto the topscores yay. BUT STUPID NIGEL TAN WASTED 2 CREDITS BECAUSE HE WAS ANYHOW CLICKING THE SCREEN WHILE WE WERE TAKING A REST! Moreover, we were on a roll. What an idiot. Then we went to mk's house where we played some lame games and watched fight club. Quite an intriguing movie and Brad pitt was hot anyways lol. Then this morning we woke up and ate at mk's house. CURRY CHICKEN WOOOH before going home for some quality sleep.

ANYWAY I SAW GRACE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS BUT SHE DIDN'T SEE ME!
